What is IIT-JEE ? –
IIT-JEE is a national level joint entrance test for enrollment in engineering bachelor’s programmes at IITs. JEE is regarded as one of India’s most difficult engineering tests, requiring a high level of analytical and problem-solving abilities. There are now 23 IITs in India that provide a range of programmes from B.Tech to PhD degrees. JEE Main and JEE Advanced are the two parts of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE).
JEE Main-
Only applicants who pass JEE Main, the initial stage of the entrance exam, are qualified to take JEE Advanced. Two papers make up the computer-based JEE Main test. The purpose of Paper 1 is to admit applicants to undergraduate engineering programmes at colleges and institutions that the State Government has approved. It also functions as a JEE Advanced eligibility test. Candidates get admitted to B. Arch and B. Planning programmes in India through Papers 2A and 2B.
The following modes are used for JEE Main-
- Paper 1Â (BE/B. Tech): Computer Based Test (Online) mode
- Paper 2AÂ (B. Arch): Mathematics & Aptitude Test in online mode and Drawing Test in offline mode
- Paper 2BÂ (B. Planning): Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Planning Based Questions in online mode
JEE Advanced –
The second and last part of the admission test is called JEE Advanced. Candidates who successfully complete JEE Main and place highly on the merit list are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced. It is a computer-based test that is alternately administered by seven distinct zonal IITs. Paper 1 and Paper 2 are the two papers that make up the test, and they are administered in two phases on the same day. To pass IIT-JEE Advanced, candidates must show up for both exams.

Paper 2: This test is computer-based (Online mode). There are questions with numerous right answers, questions with numerical value answers, and questions with matching lists.
Equal numbers of problems from mathematics, physics, and chemistry are present in each section.
Exam date, eligibility, and application information for JEE Main 2023

JEE Main 2023 –
The phase 2 test is anticipated to be held in the fourth week of May 2023, whereas the JEE Main 2023 exam will be administered by the National Testing Agency in the fourth week of April 2023.
